A combined team of DIP and the police will investigate the Mount Meron disaster under the supervision of the State Attorney's Office
Mandelblit announced that the teams would work in a coordinated manner but would maintain separations in a number of aspects, in order to "reach the truth in the best possible way."
The counsel clarified that the conduct of the investigation by two bodies could "lead to malfunctions and make it very difficult to complete the investigation."
The joint investigation team will be accompanied by the State Attorney's Office

Attorney General Avihai Mandelblit announced today (Thursday) on a layout in which a combined team of the Police Investigations Department (PID) and the police will investigate the tragedy on Mount Meron, killing 45 people.
