I reached the region in 2015 in extremely difficult conditions.
This campaign has been without doubt one of the most difficult of my public life.
With the approval of Nicolas Sarkozy and the withdrawal from the Socialist Party list led by Christophe Castaner, I campaigned on the theme of the greatest possible openness to prevent Marion Maréchal-Le Pen and the FN from seizing this region.
I passed the baton during my mandate, following the attack of July 14, 2016 in Nice, to my friend Renaud Muselier who throughout his mandate ensured to respect the principles which guided us during our campaign and to lead to well the project carried by a very diverse majority.
