Qatar in the Middle East has launched a large-scale vaccination program for Fubital vaccine since the end of 2020. A study analyzing local population’s vaccination data showed that 14 days after the population completed two doses of Fubital vaccine, the vaccine was effective against the epidemic in the United Kingdom. The effective rate of variant virus (B.1.1.7) is 89.5%, and the effective rate of variant virus (B.1.351) circulating in South Africa is 75%.

Fubitel vaccine was jointly developed by Pfizer in the United States and BioNTech, one of the vaccines used in the Hong Kong vaccination plan.

The study also pointed out that Fubitai vaccine is very effective in preventing severe illness, reaching 97.4%.
