First of all, I would like to repeat to all the police and gendarmes in France our deep and our eternal gratitude.
These heroes risk their lives to protect the French.
Protecting and defending them is at the heart of the action I am carrying out under the authority of the President of the Republic: 10,000 additional job creations, increase in the budget of 1.7 billion euros since the start of the five-year term ... Unfortunately, it is not just a question of means.
It is the question of authority, of education, of respect for the uniform, and therefore of the Republic, which is at stake. To those who attack our institutions and who attack and kill our police officers, I want their say that we will not let go!
