The former director of human resources of the Loire department, Jean-Luc Limouzin, sentenced in 2018 to four months in prison suspended for “
slanderous denunciation
” of one of his subordinates, was released on appeal, a-t - we learned Thursday from corroborating sources.

In its judgment dated April 8, of which AFP obtained a copy, the Lyon Court of Appeal went against the judgment rendered in December 2018 by the Saint-Etienne criminal court, which convicted Jean-Luc Limouzin to four months suspended sentence, 2000 euros fine as well as the payment of 4000 euros in damages to the victim of his actions. The Court considers that "
it has not been established, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Jean-Luc Limouzin denounced to his superiors facts which he knew to be totally or partially inaccurate
". The prosecution accused this man, now 66 years old, of having "
fabricated deliberately inaccurate elements in an attempt to obtain the eviction of the head of the payroll service.
".
The latter was opposed to certain practices that she considered questionable by Jean-Luc Limouzin, who temporarily suspended him from his duties and accused him of moral harassment.
The former head of the payroll service and the Loire departmental council were a civil party in the trial of this case which shook the local community in 2015, after the revelation of managerial practices attributed to Jean-Luc Limouzin, his assistant and another nobody, a trio nicknamed by some of the staff "
