He won over the board with theoretical knowledge and practical experience: Thomas David, the new branch manager of Moosburg Marketing eG, has now been introduced.

Moosburg

- You had to look closely to find the new one: On Wednesday, Thomas David spoke so passionately about his job that it was thought that the new branch manager of Moosburg Marketing has been active in the city for years. Mayor Josef Dollinger officially introduced Ulrich Metzmeier's successor to the press in a small circle in the morning, followed by an inaugural visit to the city council next Monday.

Thomas David (37) last worked in Friedberg as city manager for the city and came across the Moosburg job advertisement when the two-year position in Friedberg was abolished.

Born in Munich, who studied economic geography, the job in Moosburg is very appealing, as he said, “because managing the office is the next step for me professionally”.

His application almost got deleted

Thomas David's application was pretty much the last to arrive when the Board of Directors of Marketing eG was almost at the end of the screening process. "We were almost at the deletion," said the chairman of the board, Reinhard Lauterbach, "but then we looked at the application after all". The new head of the office ultimately convinced the committee with the exciting mix of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

David has also come to stay long term. Currently, the 37-year-old, who is related on the maternal side in Sandelzhausen, which is not far away (between Rudelzhausen and Mainburg), still lives in Augsburg and drives an hour and a quarter to Moosburg every day - when the Allach tunnel is free. But he has already found an apartment in Moosburg and emphasized that “you have to live in the city for which you are doing location marketing”.

The new head was convinced that projects could on the one hand increase the visibility of the business world and on the other hand make the city a pleasant meeting place.

"You have to keep motivating people to go to town," said David.

Above all, he relies on hybrid strategies with which Moosburger shops can present themselves more to passers-by on site as well as on the Internet.
