Nuremberg - The Nuremberg * anti-radicalization project has been awarded the Bavarian Integration Prize 2021.

A total of 145 applications were received.

The jury of the Bavarian Integration Council selected three award winners and the winner of a special award.

The Nuremberg project, supported by the Global Elternverein eV, under the direction of Mehmet Yilmaz, received the 2nd prize endowed with 2,000 euros.

The jury's reasoning stated: The anti-radicalization project works against discrimination and anti-Semitism.

It is intended to help promote political interests, integration and human rights values ​​among children and young people.

The focus here is on imparting computer skills and programming skills, visiting a synagogue and celebrating festivals of other religions.

The children and young people receive active support in building up self-motivation to improve school performance and to participate in community life - among other things through a mentoring program for volunteer work.

Nuremberg: These are the other winners of the Bavarian Integration Prize 2021 

The other award winners are the Improtheater, Munich, and the YouthBridge project, Munich.

The special prize goes to the chairwoman of heimaten eV - Network for Equal Opportunities in Munich, Zahra Akhlaqi.

State Parliament President Ilse Aigner (CSU *), Interior and Integration Minister Joachim Herrmann (CSU) and the Bavarian Integration Commissioner Gudrun Brendel-Fischer (CSU) will present the prizes on June 21, 2021 in the Maximilianeum in Munich.
