Yair Lapid's statement:
A day after receiving the mandate the task of forming the government, there is a future chairman Yair Lapid told tonight (Thursday) a statement to the media and discussed efforts to establish a unity government. "Israel is a country wounded, it needs tranquility, unity, and must have a functioning government," he said.
" "The president of the state gave me the mandate yesterday to try to form a government in Israel," said the chairman of Yesh Atid in his opening remarks.
"I said in honor of the president: 'An Israeli unity government is not a compromise - it is a goal.' This is what the state needs now. And as if to prove it, Prime Minister Netanyahu immediately went on the air. "Gideon, you left me. A style that shames the role and the person. That's exactly what we want to change. We were angry enough, we hated enough, we fought enough."
