Damascus-Sana
A partial collapse of an abandoned house in the Old City of Damascus resulted in material damage to the site, but no injuries.
A source in the Damascus Police Command told SANA that an old “Arab” house in the “Al-Qishla” neighborhood of Old Damascus had partially collapsed, causing material damage to two cars that were parked near it, stressing that the house was deserted and the collapse did not cause any human casualties.
The source added that members of the civil defense and workshops from the governorate went to the place to remove the dirt and wooden poles that had fallen after the collapse of the wall, indicating that the cause of the collapse of the house is still under inspection, and it is likely that it will return to the age and fragility of the building.
