The hosts in Nuremberg see the Corona easing as a good sign for Bavaria.
But until then it is still a long way.
Nuremberg - In the city of Nuremberg, the seven-day incidence * is currently 183.3 (as of May 6). It is still a long way from the 100 mark. In the future, the catering industry will only be allowed to entertain guests outside when it is five days lower. The prerequisites for this are a mask up to the table, a current negative test or proof of a complete vaccination and an appointment at the restaurant. According to Markus Söders regulation *, shops close at 10 p.m. A real burden, then, until the guests have made it to the table.
Although, due to the current incidence figures *, it will probably take some time before Nuremberg's * restaurants are allowed to reopen, the local hosts are happy about this relaxation.
This is how the operator of the “Bratwurst Röslein” inn on Nuremberg's town hall square sees it.
Thomas Förster told
nordbayern.de
that he was delighted because the catering industry was getting a prospect as a result of the relaxation.
“It is fundamentally right that we get an opening perspective.
That is very important to us, ”said Förster.
Nuremberg hosts are looking forward to the first easing and hope for further opening steps
According to him, the opening of the inns is long overdue.
Mainly because the guests in the restaurants are safer than when they are sitting together privately at home.
In theory, he could host 550 guests inside his restaurant.
Outside, where it will be allowed in the future, “only” 240. But this crowd also worries him: “If all the tables outside are occupied and then there is a heavy rain shower, where should the guests go?” Asks Förster.
Tobias Teichmann from the Nuremberg Café “Dampfnudel-Bäck” is just as happy about the decision: “At some point you have to take the first step, without it there is no second step.” However, it is also clear to him that catering only outside is only marginal brings in.
“I would save money if I would let that happen,” he estimates.
Nuremberg innkeepers fear that requirements will scare away the guests
But at least Söder's loosening is a "small strip on the horizon".
Better than nothing, but not the full opening program as he would like it to be.
Because he doubts that his customers will accept all the required effort for just one coffee.
After all, the city of Nuremberg had already announced to help the Nuremberg hosts to completely waive the special usage fees for outdoor seating in 2021.
Lorenz Kalb from “Stadtstrand”, a gastronomic experience on the Nuremberg island of Seeschütt on the Pegnitz in the city center, is happier.
Construction work has already started on him so that it can be opened as quickly as possible later.
Because: "We can't just unlock it, kitchens, lockers, toilets have to be here," says Kalb.
Nuremberg hosts prepare openings at their own risk
250,000 euros have already been invested in the city beach - without a precise opening perspective.
“We are taking the full risk,” explains Kalb.
He believes that it could open on its own as early as the middle of next week - if the incidence figures allow it.
But the strict requirements, which guests have to overcome before visiting, are also right for him.
Because these are "madness, completely alien to life".
The next few weeks will show how quickly it can actually be opened.
Until then, visitors to Nuremberg must continue to enjoy their take-away food or simply admire the sights of Nuremberg * on a stroll.
