Parents have handed over a list of signatures to the Ismaning municipal council.
They complain about the dangerous way to school.
They therefore prefer to drive their children to class by car.
Ismaning
- The Ismaning community has received 50 signatures from concerned parents who live in the east of the town.
From the residential area around Seidl-Kreuz-Weg, children in the first four grades of the Camerloh elementary school are assigned.
Veronika Simon and Kerstin Bichlmann made it clear to the municipal council when they signed their signatures that they wanted more security on the way to school.
At the most recent meeting of the municipal council, the parents stated that hardly any family left the child alone on the two kilometers to the primary school.
Almost all of the children would drive the children to school every day, although one would like it to be different.
The mothers also suggested that the mostly empty school bus could be led out of the moss with small changes along the Seidl-Kreuz-Weg.
Town hall is known to be dangerous
"The danger points are known," said Mayor Alexander Greulich (SPD).
The situation at the central roundabout with Taxetstrasse, Wasserturmstrasse and Dorfstrasse is to be improved by new zebra crossings.
The municipality has already bought land in the extension on Camerloherstrasse in order to build a new sidewalk on the north side.
"The slope of the site still presents us with a task in terms of planning," said the mayor.
With this sidewalk, the primary school students no longer have to cross this street.
"These measures are then a big step towards more safety on the way to school," said Greulich.
The worried mothers were satisfied with the answer.
They see the mayor's announcements as a clear improvement.
The two women and the parents of the around 20 primary school students from the area in the east of Ismaning in autumn still have the hope that the community will take another look at the school bus from the moss and maybe modify the route.
