Wolfratshausen - Good news for surfers: The water law permit for the artificial wave in Weidach has been granted by the district administration.
This was reported by the city of Wolfratshausen and the Surfing Wolfratshausen Association on Thursday afternoon.
Mayor Klaus Heilinglechner reports on intensive negotiations with all those involved in the authorities, from nature conservation and fishing.
"We were assured that those involved are not fundamentally against the surf wave, but that the sensitive river landscape with its flora and fauna must not be impaired," said the town hall chief.
This has been included in the requirements of the water law notification.
This ensures that no significant negative impacts on the Loisach FFH area are to be expected from the operation of the surf wave, even in times of low water.
In the next step, the commissioned engineering office starts the implementation planning.
At the same time, the cost calculation from 2019 will also be updated.
The total volume is almost 800,000 euros.
