Archaeologists found, during the excavations in the Cave (Banja Ya Saidi), located off the coast of Kenya, a tomb containing the remains of a child no more than three years old, and after conducting examinations, it was found that the burial is about 78 thousand years old and dates back to the Middle Stone Age period.

"This discovery is certainly very interesting and highlights the emergence of complex social behavior of Homo sapiens and cultural differences between groups of modern humans in Africa and beyond," Reuters quoted anthropologist and director of the National Research Center for Human Evolution in Spain, Maria Martinon Torres, as saying.

According to archaeologists, the discovery is of particular interest because it was not previously possible to find human remains of more than 30,000 to 40,000 years old on the African continent.
