On the wall adjacent to his bed, Diaa, the son of the martyr, Pilot Brigadier General Ghaleb Ali, keeps a picture of his martyr father, to be the last thing his eyes see before he sleeps and the first ray of light and light that you see in the morning.

Diyaa recalls with the picture the memories of fifteen years of his life he spent with his father before his death in 2012 and says to Sana, with his eyes shortening the conversation with a mixture of tears and pride ... I was fifteen years old when my father was martyred and I was preparing for the basic education certificate exam .. At that moment I felt that Time has stopped and he adds .. the pain of losing it accompanies me to this day, and my feeling that I have become an orphan is not easy at all.

Diaa continues: What is truly condolences to me is that my father, the pilot, was an arrogant hero who faced death more than once with his helicopter, which was damaged on the day of the terrorist attack on Marj Al-Sultan Military Airport in Eastern Ghouta .. With this attack, my father was martyred on the twenty-fourth of November 2012.

Diaa, who is proud that his martyr father rode on the mountain of glory and walked in the processions of the immortals to the perches, finds in the words of his father's comrades who fought alongside him in defense of the homeland, the great consolation, which are words that cannot express the heroic epic that the heroes of the Marj Al-Sultan airport have invented. In it: “Be proud, oh son of your father. He was a hero. He was martyred in the battlefield and loyal to his country until the last drop of blood spilled from his immaculate body and watered the dust of the airport.”

And so it was .. My father was martyred while stationed at Marj al-Sultan Military Airport after he was ambushed by the terrorists, for him and his colleagues in the Aqraba area in the Damascus countryside while they were returning from its military airport to their homes. Surrounded by terrorists, he joins carrying his blood on his palm, Diaa says.

I was the last to meet and chatted with my father from among my family members on the day he joined the airport and a month before the date of his martyrdom. Words said by Diaa and sank between their letters with a tear that burned his eyeball and his mother, Howaida Asaad, who was sitting next to him while talking to interrupt him with words that exuded pride and glory ... What a beautiful meeting Oh, my son, and she gets up from her place to kiss his eyes that saw his father for the last time.

Mrs. Howaida continues her words to address her son .. Make this pride a light to light your path to achieve what your martyr father wished to see you as a “dentist” and here you are today, my son, on the path to fulfilling this dream and says .. My eldest son is his pawn to his homeland after his father’s martyrdom and today it is in The ranks of the Syrian Arab Army continue his father’s march and defend his homeland.

The martyr’s wife recalls the last contact with her husband one day before his death and says sadly .. “He told me that they are being attacked by armed terrorist groups, and he told me you are a woman who believes in the judgment and destiny of God, and this is my duty towards my country to defend it with my blood and I may not return .. I recommend my children well, so let me go. Love of the homeland is in their veins and innocent hearts.

With complete conviction and absolute belief in victory, Mrs. Howaida concluded her speech by saying: “The war on Syria is great.
