A 54-year-old was out and about on Miesbacher Strasse in Schliersee on Wednesday, May 5, with his moped.

"Right at the start of the inspection, the officers noticed a clear smell of alcohol from the driver," reported the police.

A breath alcohol test carried out confirmed the suspicion of the officials - the measurement showed a value of more than 1.1 per thousand.

Criminal proceedings were initiated against the Schlierseer for drunk driving and a blood sample was ordered.

His driver's license was secured.

A few hours later, a patrol crew from the Miesbach police station noticed a vehicle in Aurach.

Since the driver was out in the Fischbachau community at around 00:30 a.m., he is now awaiting administrative offense proceedings for violating the night curfew.

As part of the general traffic control, the officers also noticed a clear smell of alcohol in the vehicle.

The police wrote: "A voluntary breath alcohol test on the driver showed a value of more than 1.1 per thousand, which is why a blood sample was carried out in the Agatharied hospital." The driver's license was also secured.

The 32-year-old Bayrischzeller expects not only the administrative offense proceedings but also criminal proceedings for drunk driving.

In Miesbach, the police recently also checked a driver who had waived his license. Criminal proceedings await him now.
