Poing - Anyone who lives in the Poinger Zauberwinkel and wants to install a photovoltaic system (PV system) or solar panels on their garage or carport can now officially do so.
The building and environment committee of the municipal council passed a corresponding decision in principle at its most recent meeting.
So far, according to the development plan in the Zauberwinkel, solar collectors and PV systems were only permitted on house roofs, but not on garages and carports.
Unlike in the neighboring and subsequently realized Seewinkel development area, where both are possible.
Poing creates equality
In order to create equality, the committee has now adopted the same regulations for both construction areas.
According to the administration's statement, this is "justifiable in terms of urban development and the main features of planning are not affected".
Both in the magic and in the Seewinkel, solar collectors and PV systems can now be installed on the roofs of garages and carports, either lying flat or on stands at an inclination of up to 15 degrees.
If you want to do this, you have to apply to the building authority for an isolated exemption from the development plan.
This is then approved.
As the administration announced in the committee meeting, there are increasing requests in the magic corner to install such systems on garages and carports.
Furthermore, there are already some such systems there.
