A number of Palestinians were injured and others were arrested this evening as a result of the Israeli occupation forces' assault on them in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem.
Wafa news agency reported that the occupation forces stormed the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and attacked the Palestinians with bullets and poison gas canisters, which resulted in the suffocation of a number of them and the arrest of others.
The occupation authorities began their plan to seize 28 homes and properties in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and displace around 550 Palestinians more than 10 years ago, as they displaced several families from their homes with the aim of tightening the siege on the Old City from the northern side and fragmenting the geography of Jerusalem by isolating its neighborhoods from each other.
