Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araghchi stressed that the main priority in the Vienna negotiations is to ensure the interests of the Iranian people.
Fars News Agency quoted Araghchi as saying, after his meeting in Vienna today, with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, "Starting tomorrow, the meetings of the Joint Committee on the Nuclear Agreement, which is the fourth round of the Vienna negotiations, will be resumed, and we will continue the path that we started in the previous three rounds."
He added, "We are now moving in a specific path and there is at least an understanding about the path that we should go in despite serious obstacles in it," noting that "Iran has a long road ahead and in no way can a certain perception or expectation for it."
Araghchi said, "Of course, we seek to accomplish this work faster, but nevertheless we do not arbitrarily hasten and do not hasten what would lead to a reduction in accuracy, nor will we allow negotiations to become exhausting," adding, "Of course, there are some serious problems that should be raised through negotiation." .
"We have a hard work ahead of us, and we hope to accomplish it in a shorter time, but the issue of time is a secondary priority, and the first priority is accuracy to provide for the interests of the Iranian people and to ensure the decisive positions of Iran, which have been announced repeatedly," Araghchi added.
Yesterday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatib Zadeh confirmed that the Iranian delegation to Vienna is leading the negotiations carefully and carefully, explaining that the points of contention between Iran and America during the talks are not few.
