Many pedestrians are currently in amazement on Marktstrasse, because a large plinth has been poured in front of the Wiedemann bakery for a few days.
Bad Tölz - For a few weeks now, the building of the Wiedemann bakery, formerly Gotz, in Tölzer Markstraße has been gutted and completely renovated (we reported).
A several square meter foundation was recently poured in front of the construction site - and it attracts the attention of pedestrians.
Construction crane is to follow
When asked by the courier, Thomas Schneider from the executing construction company Schneider explains what purpose this base should serve: "A large construction crane will be installed on this foundation, with which we will carry out the gutting and renovation of the building."
A foundation for more security
The building contractor explains that the crane can significantly reduce the load caused by truck traffic in the pedestrian zone. The construction material is to be brought into the building with the crane through a large opening in the roof. “This of course also ensures that pedestrians are not endangered,” says Schneider. Since a crane with a long jib is required for this undertaking, the structural engineer advised building the foundation. Thomas Schneider promises that the crane is to be dismantled and the foundation removed by autumn, at the very latest on Leonhard's Day. (Arndt Pröhl)
