Eleven people were injured in a huge fire that broke out in an apartment building in Saint-Voys-les-Lyons, in eastern France, last night.
The French newspaper Le Figaro quoted the fire service as saying: "The fire destroyed an eight-storey building in Saint-Voys-les-Lyons in the suburbs of Lyon, wounding 11 people and damaging a number of apartments."
The firefighters went immediately to the scene of the fire and evacuated 60 people from the building and took control of it, while the injured were transferred to hospitals for treatment.
The French authorities are continuing their investigations to uncover the circumstances of the fire.
