Iran today reiterated that the Palestinian issue is the core and central issue of the Islamic world, and that the option of resistance is the way to liberate its lands from the Israeli occupation.

The statement pointed out that the conditions resulting from the Coronavirus pandemic imposed this year not to organize popular rallies in Iran on the occasion of International Jerusalem Day, as in last year.
International Jerusalem Day is celebrated on the last Friday of Ramadan in all parts of the world in solidarity with the Palestinian people and rejecting the attempts to Judaize the Holy City practiced by the Israeli occupation authorities, based on the initiative launched by the leader of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, the late Imam Khomeini in 1979.
