The Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Ali Khamenei, affirmed that the resisting Palestinian people will achieve victory over the Israeli occupation, stressing that Holy Jerusalem and all of Palestine belong to the Palestinians.

In a speech in Tehran today on the occasion of International Jerusalem Day, Khamenei explained: The Western countries planned to deprive the Palestinian people of the homeland of their fathers and grandfathers in order to establish in its place the Zionist terrorist entity to implement its political agendas in the region, refuting its false claims about democracy and human rights.

Khamenei pointed out that the tragedy of the Palestinians has been going on for more than seventy years, indicating that the Palestinian issue is still the most important common cause for the Islamic nation, and that the struggle against the Zionist entity is a struggle against injustice and a struggle against terrorism.

Khamenei referred to the growth of the forces of the axis of resistance and the escalation of their capabilities, while the Zionist enemy was weaker, calling on the world to support the struggle of the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli occupation.

Khamenei stressed that hope for victory is increasing day by day, and that the recent uprising of Palestinian youth in defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the reflection of the echoes of their struggle and grievances all over the world promises that.

Earlier today, popular events were launched to mark International Jerusalem Day in the Iranian capital, Tehran, in conjunction with the rest of the Iranian provinces, in light of preventive measures to prevent the outbreak of the new Corona virus.

International Jerusalem Day is being celebrated on the last Friday of Ramadan in all parts of the world in solidarity with the Palestinian people and in rejection of the attempts to Judaize the Holy City practiced by the Israeli occupation authorities, based on the initiative launched by the leader of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, the late Imam Khomeini in 1979.
