The fishing boat "Aliseo" is sailing towards Mazara del Vallo
, with seven crewmen, whose commander Giuseppe Giacalone was wounded by gunshots fired yesterday by a Libyan military patrol boat.
The assault took place 35 miles north of the coast of Al Khums, "within the fishing protection zone in the waters of the Tripolitan province" as reported by the Navy which intervened on the spot with the Libeccio frigate.

The arrival of the Italian military unit convinced the Libyan military to release

The fishing boat is sailing at a speed of about 9-10 knots per hour;
arrival in port is scheduled for dawn tomorrow.
The conditions of Commander Giacalone, also slightly wounded in the head by some shards of the glass of the cabin and medicated on board by the Italian military, do not cause concern.
