Dr. Hamid Reza Asmati, the Iranian Cultural Counselor, spoke about the importance of the Syrian-Iranian rapprochement, culturally and socially, and their cooperation in fateful issues and confronting terrorism and plots against the two countries, explaining that the role of the Chancellery in Damascus is to work to advance these bilateral relations, especially in cultural matters.
Asmati added, “The chancellery will keep pace with the Syrian-Iranian cultural interaction as it was before and during the war, with greater focus on teaching the Persian and Arabic languages, as the Syrian embassy in Iran is making remarkable efforts to teach the language of dissent,” pointing out that there are poets in Iran who write in Arabic and work on literacy between Syria. Counselor Asmati stressed the importance of cooperation in planting the idea of resistance in our generations because terrorism threatens everyone and the use of culture and art to educate generations to protect their homeland and continue the march of resistance.
