Claudia Albertina Ruíz Sántiz is a Tzotzil chef who is part of a select group of young promises of world gastronomy.

The Mexican was included in the 50 Next 2021 list. The publication selected 50 people under the age of 35 who, with their example, inspire and empower the people around them.

Claudia Albertina spoke with CNN about this distinction and the secrets of traditional Chiapas cuisine.
