this local maneuver meet with such an echo?

Locally, it needs reinforcements;
nationally, it is marginalized.
Édouard Philippe, Bruno Le Maire, Gérald Darmanin and a few others had already understood it in 2017: macronism condemns The Republicans to no longer be more than an auxiliary force.
Especially for those who believe in their ministerial destiny.
All of this would hardly matter
if these arrangements were not made.
