Wolfersdorf

- As a storyteller, author, musician, painter and illustrator, she has long been an integral part of the regional cultural scene. With the help of the Kickstart Kultur Initiative Freising, Johanna Weinberger can now make a long-cherished dream come true and launch the audio book "Humpidi and the Courageous Bunny" for her little fans.

Anyone who has ever experienced Weinberger live, for example in the district court garden or at the Uferlos Festival, knows: This artist is passionate about giving her listeners wonderful dreams with warm-hearted and philosophical stories. Her mobile children's theater opens up this magical world between Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and Astrid Lindgren in a very special way.

It is also her love for the musical elaboration of the topics that turns each of her programs into a gem of amazement and participation.

The dwarf Humpidi in particular, who has had many adventures, is an excellent figure to bring the little big things in life onto the stage.

With her story "Humpidi and the Courageous Hare", Weinberger outlines the central theme of fear: Friedel the hare hides in a bush for fear of the wind.

Of course, Humpidi wants to help him and asks his friends what they do when they are scared.

This leads to all sorts of funny ideas, but none of them help - until Humpidi finally comes up with a “courageous phrase”.

Home recording studio set up

Weinberger has long been thinking of bringing an audio book with their own stories onto the market. And she can't quite believe that it worked now. In the meantime, she has set up a small recording studio at home, because the project has to be completed in three months according to the funding guidelines. On board: Numerous musicians such as Stephan Treuter, Odilo Zapf and Willy Abele. Uli Hofbauer, guitarist of the Max Raabe Palast Orchestra, will arrange the pieces written by Weinberger himself.

Weinberger is very happy and extremely grateful for the great support she gets for her Humpidi.

She likes the piece itself very much, because it is very important to the artist to give the little ones courage and to make life understandable in everyday situations.

As a mother and teacher, she also wants to be a "brake block" for the fast and noisy world that often breaks down on children.

In this regard, an audio book naturally offers wonderful possibilities: Humpidi to fall asleep when the fear does not go away again - a story ostensibly for the little ones, but certainly also for the grown-ups.

After all, who of us doesn't need a courage quote from a Humpidi every now and then?
