Through Laurent Baheux's lens, in the heart of the savannah in black and white

REPORT - For nearly twenty years, Laurent Baheux has been photographing African wildlife with passion. A new documentary is dedicated to him on Ushuaïa TV on May 11th. On this occasion, we were able to follow him in the Kenyan bush.


"What a sorrow, what a sad world, where the savannah fades in the shade."

Laurent Baheux hands us his earpiece.

The voice of singer Bénabar resonates in our ears, far from the Vincennes zoo which is mentioned in this song.

Bringuebalé inside a Land Rover, his imposing lenses with very long focal length posed beside him, Laurent smiles:

Here, it is the Masai Mara: the emblematic reserve of Kenya where in particular takes place a breathtaking migratory episode of wildebeest and zebras which attracts, each year, tourists from all over the world.

But like all parks and reserves on the African continent, the Masai Mara was not spared and lost a frightening number of animals.
