After a controversial first text of which some signatories are threatened with sanctions, a new military forum against the "
disintegration
" of the country is in preparation, said Friday, May 7 the magazine Valeurs Actuelles, which was asked to publish it, confirming information of the

"
This is a new forum, this time from active soldiers, who thought of us to publish it because we had published
" the previous forum, said Geoffroy Lejeune, editorial director of the weekly.
These will be soldiers who wish to remain anonymous, he said.
Contrary to "republican principles"
Valeurs Actuelles had published on April 21 a shocking platform in which "
twenty generals, a hundred high-ranking officers and more than a thousand other soldiers
" called on President Emmanuel Macron to defend patriotism, and said they were "
willing to support policies which will take into consideration the safeguard of the nation
”. This text triggered a lively controversy in the political class, some denouncing a quasi-call for insurrection when others greeted a salutary start.
Jean Castex, Prime Minister, denounced an initiative "
contrary to all our republican principles
" and accused the RN, which had called on the signatories to support its action, of "
political recovery
".
The Minister of the Armed Forces demanded that sanctions be taken against the signatories, whether active or retired.
Geoffroy Lejeune told the
Parisian to
expect hundreds or even up to 2000 signatures, the text apparently circulating a lot within the troops.

However, conditions still need to be met for Valeurs Actuelles to publish the text, the weekly's manager said. Geoffroy Lejeune first waits to know the final version of the forum, which is not yet decided according to him, and he is also looking for a way to be able to "
certify
" the number of signatories, while guaranteeing respect for their anonymity. .
