Bales of hay and straw caught on fire in the Rottenried district of Gilching caused a fire brigade to be deployed on Thursday afternoon.
When the Gilching fire brigade arrived shortly after 1 p.m., the flames had already spread to the vegetation and the first bushes on the ground.
Gilching - The rescue workers cleared the area and the bales and dismantled them with the help of a wheel loader. The fire was extinguished after an hour and a half, but the cleanup required another hour and a half of work. In the evening, at 8:10 p.m., the fire brigade was called by residents to look into it. Despite the tearing of the balls and the rain, embers had formed again. They were opened and also deleted.
