Today, the Brazilian Ministry of Health announced the registration of 78,886 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the past twenty-four hours, and 2,165 deaths.
Reuters quoted the ministry as saying that the total number of injuries rose to about 15.1 million, while the official number of deaths reached 419,114 cases.
Brazil recorded the second largest death toll from the virus in the world after the United States and the third highest number of infections after the United States and India, and in recent weeks it has faced sharp rises in the two indicators.
