About fifteen assaults, for which these individuals are suspected, were recorded in the space of a year by officers from the La Courneuve police station.

In May 2020, coming out of confinement that put all French people to the test, a series of baseball bat attacks affected young people, not from the area but walking in the Georges-Valbon departmental park, at La Courneuve. Nine other assaults ensued in the months that followed, committed in the neighboring town of Dugny, and this time according to a different modus operandi: the victims were attracted by sales ads published on leboncoin or Snapchat, then threatened. with a knife. One of them is even stabbed.

As the noose tightens around the small band, a final assault attracts the attention of investigators: a schoolboy, educated in Dugny, is beaten, stripped and kidnapped, tied with tape to a chair, then filmed in the frame of a rap clip. The overall loss of thefts would amount to 5,000 euros. That of the traumas generated is, for its part, immeasurable.
