Amman-SANA called on the Palestinian National Council to take serious and immediate action to confront the crime of the Israeli occupation

Amman - Sana

The Palestinian National Council called for serious and immediate action to confront the ongoing crime of the Israeli occupation against the residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.

Council Speaker Salim al-Zanoun said in letters sent to heads of parliaments and federations, foremost of which is the International Parliamentary Union: “The time has come for serious action to stop this full-fledged crime by displacing the residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and putting pressure on the governments of your countries to intervene and activate the mechanisms of international law and international humanitarian law and hold the occupation accountable for its violations. Persistent and prevented impunity.

In his messages, Al-Zanoun held the world's parliaments with the legal and moral responsibility to condemn the criminals and stop the crimes of the Israeli occupation by practicing ethnic cleansing against Jerusalemites and forcibly deporting them from their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

The Israeli occupation forces have stepped up their Judaization steps in occupied Jerusalem, the latest of which was the attempt to evacuate dozens of Palestinian families from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah, with the aim of giving them to settlers.

The occupation forces arrested 15 Palestinians at dawn today who took part in the protest against what the occupation forces are doing in the neighborhood.
