In the Pullach community center, attempts are being made to bring about a gentle cultural restart in May when the incidence values are declining.

The head of the cultural office, Hannah Stegmayer, just wonders under what conditions.

Pullach - In an interview with Münchner Merkur, Hannah Stegmayer speaks about her planning, as far as it is possible.

Ms. Stegmayer, do you have an overview?

Let's put it this way, I have a clue and give a forecast of how it will develop.

The Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder has started a quick shot in which he said: "We are opening up to culture." At the same time, however, there is a curfew from 10 pm.

From this I deduce that the concept for it is not yet fully fermented.

In any case, the details have not yet been announced.

We now need to know how many people we can let in.

Is there a restriction or only the distance rule with hygiene measures?

So you are still at the mercy of the virus in the cultural realm ...

I would say it is now a purely organizational matter.

But we have prepared different variants.

Some time ago there was a survey among Pullach subscribers with the result: 70 percent would attend events again as soon as they open.

The younger ones are a little more cautious.

You are not expecting a vaccination anytime soon, but this readiness and will are very great.

That is already very gratifying.

Exactly.

We also told the citizens that they would have to show a test - probably with a mask on the square.

Still, they would like to come.

They are not afraid of the cost of a test.

But the short-term nature could be a problem for subscribers when it comes to personal planning, right?

You have to know.

We canceled our subscriptions 14 days ago because the season (from March to July) had simply been running too long.

The money was of course paid back.

From now on we only offer individual events.

In view of the limited number of visitors, we are guaranteed to always be able to acquire enough people.

We are in constant contact with the people of Pullach via the newsletter, and we also write to the citizens.

That was our main job: to communicate with people all the time.

We were always prepared in such a way that three weeks would have been enough to prepare for the start - with the lead time we need for the application and booking.

You have now decided on a solo performance in May.

Exactly.

Hopefully Ludwig Müller will perform on Friday, May 21, at 8 pm with his cabaret “Witz ins Dunkel”.

We have moved all events that were not allowed to take place to the future.

Nobody was canceled.

There would be eleven events until the end of July.

How many will be postponed to autumn, winter and next year?

In the period from March 2020 to 2021, around 50 appointments did not take place that we either have to accommodate this year or next year.

The audience is asked to visit the community center often.

I would like them to look at more than usual.

Because we have received federal funding for events that will take place this year.

The state pays 50 percent of the fees.

In order to be able to use the money, however, something must first take place.

Yes, and we have been promised a large amount of funding that we have not yet been able to access due to the ban on events.

We have to accommodate as much as possible by the summer break and organize massive and heaped evenings in autumn.

New bookings are currently not possible.

By the way, moving is only used by the artists who are booked.

No one else has a chance to perform.

There is a traffic jam, we cannot enter into new contracts because we have to serve the old ones.

In other words, you've probably received a lot of calls for help from artists?

Yes, a lot of solo artists thought they were getting more involved now, but I have to think of all of them.

By the way, there is also a problem behind the stage: stage managers, lighting and employees of the ensembles have to adhere to all the rules.

You don't even think about that in the parquet.

The processes are also very complicated.

Because no distance can be guaranteed in the cloakrooms, ancillary rooms, for example, which we otherwise rent out, have to be used.

And then there are the spectators.

They must be checked upon entry.

Admission control will look like traveling by air with a visa and passport control.

Does the vaccination certificate also belong to the person on site?

This could be a bit uncomfortable for some visitors.

Need more staff?

Yes, which is best already vaccinated, because we don't want to infect our guests.

Which is good, we have a test station right in front of the community center.

So now we're just waiting for the brief announcement of how many people are allowed in under what circumstances.

The type of appearance is also measured by the number.

Musicians interact very differently when the hall is full than when it is almost empty.

The stage presence also becomes more intense the more audience there is.

Exactly, and if the audience doesn't react, then the artist suffers.

But we definitely like to do it, even if only 50 people can get in, because it's a signal.
