A fatal work-related injury occurred on Lamma Island. A male worker was sent to hospital and died after shaking his head.

At 10:38 am today (8th), the police received a report that a 49-year-old male worker surnamed Li drove a block of about 1.3 meters by 0.6 on a slope stabilization project at 3rd Street, Sok Kwu Wan, Lamma Island. When the meter was multiplied by a 0.3-meter stone, it was suspected that the stone fell from the car and rolled down the slope. Li accidentally hit the stone with his head and fell into a coma.

The worker immediately called the police when he found out, and Li Nan was sent to the Eastern District Hospital by helicopter for emergency treatment, and he was later certified dead.

The Labour Department said that after receiving the report, it had dispatched staff to the scene immediately and was investigating the cause of the accident.

It is understood that the deceased man and his wife have two daughters.

Afterwards, the relatives and friends of the male deceased, including two daughters, came to the hospital to find out that some people admitted that the corpse was emotionally crying and needed to be helped to leave by others.

After the incident, the police officers seized clothing believed to belong to the deceased. The police classified the case as an industrial accident. The case is still under investigation. The cause of death of the male victim has yet to be determined after an autopsy.

After the incident, the Industrial Casualty Rights Association sent personnel to the hospital to contact their families and provide them with emotional support and other appropriate assistance.

The relatives and friends of the male deceased went to the hospital to find out the situation. The relatives and friends admitted that the corpse was emotionally crying and needed to be supported by others to leave.
