From May 16, tourists from the EU will be able to enter Italy without a quarantine obligation.
But there is a small catch.
Entry is only possible under certain conditions - a kind of "Green Passport for Italy":
With a confirmation of a corona vaccination with a vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
With a confirmation of a resolved corona infection.
Negative corona test (not older than 48 hours).
Corona: Italy is loosening up
The Italian government is accelerating the reopening of the country.
Prime Minister Mario Draghi announced easing in Italy in mid-April.

Restaurants and bars are also allowed to serve outside at tables in the evening, as long as the number of Corona cases allows.
From June 1st, people should be able to sit inside again in pubs.
