Nearly a thousand residents of Block 11, Yue Tao Heen, Yingwan Garden, Tung Chung who were sent for quarantine last week, were arranged to leave the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center today (8th).

Some residents revealed to "Hong Kong 01" that when they left the isolation place, they were given a card signed by Chief Executive Carrie Lam, thanking them for their understanding and cooperation, and finally called on residents to be vaccinated.

Carrie Lam: I understand the inconvenience and anxiety caused. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Residents of Block 11, Ocean View Villa, Tung Chung Yingwan Garden, who were quarantined at the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center, were given 2 packs of masks and a card signed by Chief Executive Carrie Lam when they left the quarantine center.

Lam Cheng pointed out on the card that the government, for the sake of prudence, sent residents living in the same building with patients with the variant virus for quarantine, describing that "the government has to adopt stricter epidemic prevention measures."

The card stated that the government understands the inconvenience and anxiety caused to the affected people, and thanks the residents for their understanding and cooperation.

Finally, the card also called on citizens to be vaccinated.

Tung Chung Caribbean Coast Tower 11 was enclosed by the government on the evening of 29th last month. At that time, nearly 1,000 residents needed to be tested overnight. Finally, the residents were sent to the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center on the 30th of last month.

During the period, some residents had pointed out that no one responded to the hotline at the quarantine center, and the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center was suspected of having food safety issues and could only use cup noodles instead of meals at one time.
