The Syrian Boxing Team is preparing to participate in the men's Asian Championship, scheduled in Dubai from the twenty-first of this month until the first of next month.
Boxing Federation Secretary Mahmoud Salloum said in a statement to the SANA sports bulletin: “The team will participate in the tournament with three players, namely Ahmed Amna, Alaa Ghosoun and Muhammad Melis, and their preparations will be strengthened by a closed training camp in Al-Faiha Sports City in Damascus called by the Boxing Federation along with a group of young players. It will start right after the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
Salloum pointed out that the federation had conducted experiments to assess the level of young and male players over the past year despite the suspension of sports activity due to the Corona pandemic, in addition to a training camp held in Iran to raise the skills of players through contact.
It is noteworthy that the Asian Championship was scheduled in India and was transferred to Dubai due to the circumstances imposed by the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
