The Free Patriotic Movement in Lebanon renewed its call to the Lebanese Prime Minister-designate, Saad Hariri, to expedite the formation of the government in accordance with the charter and constitutional principles and not waste time more than that.
In a statement issued after its meeting headed by MP Gebran Bassil Al-Hariri, the political body in the movement called for “considering the formation process a purely Lebanese entitlement in the first place, and keeping it the responsibility of the Lebanese,” calling on him to return to the constitutional and constitutional principles to form a government that carries a clear reform program and consists of ministers who have experience, competence and ability. To implement reforms, fight corruption and achieve economic advancement.
Lebanese President Michel Aoun assigned Hariri to form a new government last October, after the resignation of Hassan Diab's government. However, this formation faces obstacles due to Western interventions that link economic aid to Lebanon with political concessions from some of the active Lebanese forces.
