A 52-year-old worker died after falling from a scaffolding in Tradate (Varese), around 11am. According to what emerged, the man would have slipped from the structure into a construction site of a shopping center, falling into the void for about four meters.
The 118 rescuers intervened on the spot with an ambulance and helicopter but, despite the attempt to revive him, the man died.

This is the third death at work in four days in Lombardy. On May 5th, in Busto Arsizio, also in the province of Varese, 49-year-old Christian Martinelli died, crushed by a boring machine in the factory where he was, while on the 6th in a construction site in Pagazzano, Maurizio Gritti died, overwhelmed by a concrete slab.
