For the second time, a project by Zukunftsmacher gUG around Anna Maria Blau from Hofsingelding was awarded by the Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance (BfDT): “YOU count”.

Hofsingelding - After the “Digital Grannies” in 2018, the “You count” project received a prize as one of nine Bavarian model projects in the “Active for Democracy and Tolerance” 2019 competition.

One year late because the award last year was canceled due to Corona.

This year it took place digitally for the first time.

The “DU count” project supports, strengthens and encourages young people between the ages of 12 and 27 who stumble in life, “failed” or simply do not know what to do next.

“With individually tailored project offers, they are supported in recognizing their potential, developing their skills and thus finding their own path,” explains Blau.

At the same time, young people would be empowered to take an active part in shaping society and the economy.

The offers include the culture heroes, "Young Talents" and more

“There are young people who are creative and self-confident and who want to show themselves.

And then there are the quiet ones who never show themselves, who are creative to process things, ”says Blau.

“In our projects, both sides come together on an equal footing.

Everyone has something to give to the other.

And everyone benefits from it. "

The offers include, for example, the culture heroes, in which the creative potential is promoted and presented to the public at exhibitions, concerts or youth culture days.

With “Young Talents” young people are supported in turning their visions into projects and possibly even a business idea.

There are also digital projects, such as an IT academy and many more.

"All offers are aimed at the acquisition of important skills for work and life, a growing sense of self-worth and the development of specific personal perspectives," explains Blau.

The young people are given space to try things out and implement ideas.

“We provide the network and encourage them.

Then you can start yourself, completely safely. ”Value is placed on team spirit, respectful cooperation, the strengthening of values such as tolerance and diversity as well as long-term integration into a democratic society.

“It takes people who dare to do something and who come up with unusual solutions,” says Blau.

150 young people have already taken advantage of the offers

According to her, 150 young people have already taken advantage of the offers since January 2018.

One of them is Tami.

“When I met her, she said goodbye to everything.

She was out of school, had no trust, did not want to build a relationship, "reported Blau at the award ceremony in an interview with Nele Wieting from the BfDT.

When she was offered to simply show her creativity, she dared to take part in an exhibition.

"She got a lot of attention from strangers and finally gained confidence in herself." So Tami, now 25 years old, finished school and found a job.

On her Instagram account "borderli0n" she also deals very openly with the borderline personality disorder.

"Because she helps others in this way, Tami helps herself," says Blau.

Anna Maria Blau doesn't run out of ideas that quickly

The Hofsingeldingerin won't run out of ideas for projects in the future either.

“For example, I would like to get young people on board who have already stood before a judge,” she says.

To do this, however, she needs someone who is constantly there.

“My greatest wish would be to find a 'sponsor' who would enable us to have someone who can not only be here on a voluntary basis, but also be here for a few hours each week to have a look at the projects and continue to work on them develop."

She also wants a place where young people can meet and exchange ideas with experts, with banks or investors, in order to make their ideas marketable.

“Like a future workshop, in which you can let approaches to solutions grow and start-ups emerge from them.

I am convinced that there is a lot of potential for this in the Erding district. "
