The cadres of the Homs Fire Brigade today extinguished a fire that broke out in a cork factory in Hassia Industrial City.
Major Abdul Karim Jaloudi, head of the Hasiya fire brigade, told SANA's correspondent that a fire broke out in one of the production halls of the cork plant, and immediately the regiment members moved to the place and worked to surround the fire to prevent its spread, and then the fire was controlled and extinguished and the cooling operations carried out.
Jaloudi indicated that the losses were limited to the materials in the hall without human damage, indicating that the cause of the fire was a short circuit in one of the engines.
