If you apply the rules mentioned by the Ministry of Health to the figures published by the Robert Koch Institute *, as of Friday, a total of 16 districts and independent cities in Bavaria could submit an application to open from Monday.

In addition to those already mentioned, the districts of Main-Spessart and Garmisch-Partenkirchen as well as the independent cities of Weiden and Erlangen could also be considered.

"Hopes not fulfilled": Incidence has risen again - outdoor restaurants in the Regen district will not open

Meanwhile, the Regen district will not open: "The hopes were not fulfilled: After the number of cases already confirmed on Friday morning that the Regen district will exceed the 100 incidence limit, there will be no opening of the outdoor restaurants on Monday," it says on the Homepage of the district.

Strict hygiene regulations apply to the opening of outdoor restaurants.

According to the Hotel and Restaurant Association, incidences of over 50 negative corona tests * are required if people from several households are sitting at one table - with exceptions for those who have been completely vaccinated and those who have recovered.

In addition, the guests have to register - and wear FFP2 masks * when they are not at the table.

In counties whose incidence jumps back over 100 on three consecutive days, the openings must be withdrawn.

Depending on the incidence, the situation can change: more districts and cities could announce easing, others may have to withdraw openings.

The article will be updated accordingly.
