Today, the Egyptian Minister of Health, Hala Zayed, announced that Egypt is working to manufacture the Russian (Sputnik V) vaccine against the Coronavirus locally, to become available at the end of this year.
Egyptian media quoted the minister as saying at a press conference that "work is underway in this regard in cooperation between one of the private pharmaceutical companies in Egypt and Russia," noting that "Egypt seeks to be a center for manufacturing and exporting the Coronavirus vaccine to Africa."
Zayed pointed out that the epidemiological situation of the Corona virus in Egypt is stable, and there is a slight increase in the number of daily cases, stressing that genetic tracing of the Corona virus is being carried out, especially for those coming from the affected countries and there are genetic mutations of the virus.
