The emergency brake in the Munich district will end on Tuesday.

You can find out what is changing here at a glance.

District

- Today, Sunday, the seven-day incidence in the Munich district fell below the threshold of 100 cases within seven days per 100,000 inhabitants for the fifth day in a row.

The current value is 73.9.

This means that on Tuesday, May 11th, the regulations of the so-called "emergency brake" will end.

At the same time, if the infection situation continues to ease, further easing may come into force on Wednesday at the earliest, reports the district office.

No test requirement in retail

In the retail trade, even in the incidence range below 100, the opening after booking an appointment ("click & meet") will remain, but from Tuesday there will be no submission of a negative corona test, which was previously necessary.

It is also still possible to collect pre-ordered goods in shops.

For all stores that are open regardless of incidence, such as food stores and drugstores - as before - neither an appointment nor a test is necessary.

More contacts again and no curfew

Meetings are again allowed from Tuesday with members of your own household as well as another household, as long as a total of five people is not exceeded.

The children under the age of 14 belonging to these households are not taken into account for the total number.

Spouses, civil partners and partners in a cohabiting partnership are each considered to be one household, even if they do not have a common place of residence.

There are exceptions for fully vaccinated and recovered people.

The night curfew (10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day) no longer applies in the Munich district from Tuesday.

Culture and sport

Museums, exhibitions, memorials, objects of the Bavarian administration of the state palaces, gardens and lakes and comparable cultural sites as well as zoological and botanical gardens are open by appointment.

An FFP2 mask must be worn during the visit.

Theaters, concert and opera houses as well as cinemas could then reopen.

Visitors must also present a negative corona test here.

Sports are only permitted outdoors, without contact and subject to the contact restrictions.

Outdoor sports are also allowed in groups of up to 20 children under 14 years of age.

Contact-free sports would be permitted indoors, and contact sports outdoors, provided that all participants have a valid, negative PCR test, PoC antigen test or self-test.

Outdoor catering

The outdoor catering could then be open until 10 p.m.

In order to be able to visit a restaurant, it is necessary to book an appointment in advance, including the recording of contact details.

If people from several households are sitting at a table, a PoC-Landkreis München - 3 - antigen test or self-test carried out no later than 24 hours or a PCR test carried out no more than 48 hours with a negative result is required.

Face-to-face classes are taking place again

From Tuesday, face-to-face classes will be held in all types of schools in the Munich district, provided that the minimum distance of 1.5 meters can be reliably maintained, or alternating classes will take place.

One day earlier - from Monday, May 10th - all elementary school levels, grade 11 of grammar schools and technical colleges as well as the other graduating classes can start classroom teaching (with a minimum interval) or alternate classes.

Grades 5 and 6 of the special needs schools can also start face-to-face or alternate classes on Monday

No compulsory testing in care facilities

The obligation to test for employees in old people's and care facilities, which was issued in mid-April, is no longer in force.

However, tests are still carried out on a voluntary basis.

If major outbreaks occur in individual facilities, the obligation to test can also be re-ordered in the incidence range below 100.

Relief for those who have been fully vaccinated and those who have recovered

For those who have been completely vaccinated and recovered, there has been no proof of a negative test result for access to restaurants, cultural events or retailers, for example, since May 6th.

The curfew does not apply to this group of people either.
