Around 200,000 euros in property damage occurred on Saturday in a garage fire in Oberwarngau.

The Rosenheim criminal police took over the investigation.

Oberwarngau

- As the police headquarters in Oberbayern Süd reported, a burning garage in Hirschbergstrasse was reported to the integrated control center via the emergency call at around 17.25. When the approximately 70 emergency services from the Warngau, Holzkirchen and Hartpenning fire brigades arrived at the scene of the fire, the garage was already in full fire. "It was pointed at the button", reports the Warngau commander Johann Eder. “With massive use of water and foam”, the comrades managed to extinguish the fire quickly. This enabled them to prevent the fire from spreading to the adjacent house. The fire brigade struggled the most with the two cars that were parked in the garage. "Vehicles always burn hard," reports Eder.

The damage to the garage and the vehicles parked in it, as well as to the garden shed next door, is around 200,000 euros.

According to the fire brigade, nobody was injured.

The permanent detective service of the Rosenheim Criminal Police Inspection took over the investigation of the exact cause of the fire on site.

According to the first findings of the fire investigators, there are no indications of an intentional arson.
