The jersey of American basketball legend Michael Jordan was sold while playing in the College League in North Carolina for $ 1.3 million at the Heritage Auction House.
Reuters reported that the jersey was the only one known to Jordan in the 1982-1983 season with North Carolina, when he was named player of the year in the American League.
Thus, Jordan, who owns the Charlotte Hornets, broke the previous record when selling a shirt in which he fought a match with the Chicago Bulls in the 1986-1987 season for $ 480,000 last October at the same auction house.
Jordan, a six-time NBA champion with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s, was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
