USA - No matter if Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor or Archeopteryx.

Dinos have a special fascination for children.

And parents should definitely encourage this, as a study from the USA impressively shows.

Researchers at several universities in Indiana and Wisconsin found in a study of the cognitive development of young children (between the ages of 4 and 6 years) that children who spend a lot of time with dinosaurs are more intelligent.

The reason: Since dinosaurs are already extinct, they do not belong to the animals that children can experience directly.

It therefore takes a greater deal of discussion to acquire the necessary specialist knowledge than, for example, a dog or a cat.

Memorizing and memorizing the far more complex dinosaur names also trains children's cognitive abilities.

Such a keen interest can be encouraged by parents by providing relevant non-fiction books and games or by visiting a dinosaur theme park.

As a rule, however, the passion for dinosaur decreases again after starting school.
