Tartous-Sana
In appreciation of their sacrifices for the sake of defending the homeland, the social and civil activities in the Sheikh Badr area in the countryside of Tartous, in cooperation with the (Nabd Watan) volunteer team, today honored 400 families of the martyrs and the wounded of the Syrian Arab Army, in the village of Darti.
Mahdi Muhammad, head of the Martyrs and Missing Persons Department of the General Secretariat of Tartous Governorate, indicated in a press statement that today's event is being held with the participation of voluntary bodies from the civil society, in appreciation of the sacrifices of the martyrs and the tournaments of the wounded who gave their most precious supplies to keep Syria united.
Dr. Hassan Saleh pointed out in a speech by the families of the martyrs and the wounded that this pure land deserves to be the incubator for the martyrs who, with their pure blood, have written the epics of heroism and honor in defense of Syria.
In turn, a number of the families of the martyrs and the wounded have praised this gesture, which confirms the cohesion between the people of the same nation, stressing that thanks to the blood of the martyrs, Syria will triumph over its enemies.
Nidal Khalil, one of the volunteers, stated that the honor is the least that can be given to those who sacrificed their blood for the sake of the homeland, while Feryal Gharib found that the honor represents a commemoration of the souls of the martyrs, stressing that their sacrifices are a badge of honor for us all.
