The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, condemned the continuous Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people, their land and sanctities, and called on the Arab Parliamentary Union to hold an emergency meeting in this regard and come up with a common position regarding these attacks.

Al-Halbousi sent a message to the President of the Arab Parliamentary Union Saqr Ghobash, transmitted by Alsumaria News: “From our official website as representatives of the national will of the Iraqi people, we condemn and denounce the Israeli attacks against the Palestinian people, affirming Iraq's support for the brothers in Palestine and their heroic steadfastness and renewing our steadfast and permanent stance towards the issue. The Palestinian Authority in a manner that guarantees the establishment of the independent state of Palestine, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

Al-Halbousi added that the continued transgressions of the occupying Zionist entity and its striking at all international legitimacy decisions and its flagrant violation of human rights principles calls us to assume our responsibilities as Arab parliaments representing the aspirations and aspirations of our nation to take a position consistent with the size of solidarity with our basic cause.

Yesterday, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians and the storming of its forces at Al-Aqsa Mosque, practicing acts of intimidation and spreading terror among Palestinian worshipers.

Occupied Jerusalem has been subjected to a massive Judaization campaign during the past few days to empty it of the Palestinian presence. During the past two days, more than 300 Palestinians were wounded by bullets from the occupation forces, which stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and Bab Al-Amud.
